At present, only WCH-LinkE can be used to download the chip for the first time. You can download the IAP program through LinkE and then update the APP through the serial port. For details, see the routine on the official website.

but i not sure port or PIN BOOT0 on CH32V003 use pin ?

CH32V003 not have pin BOOT0 or BOOT1 ?

Thanks to [TH] Maker Witawat for answer. I have a few CH340G (SOI16) and I have got CH32V003J4's not long ago. Now I need to download a firmware into the flash of them.

The V003 chip does not have a BOOT pin, but there is still a BOOT area in the chip. If you want to download the program through the serial port, you need to jump back to the BOOT area after the chip is started. This requires burning a program through WCH-LinkE and using an I/O pin to control the chip to jump back to the BOOT area. Specific operation can refer to the IAP routine in EVT.

We generally recommend that customers use WCH-LinkE directly for burning procedures when using V003 chips. Of course, if you have special needs, we also open the BOOT area for customers to use, the specific use method refer to the EVT routine USART_IAP routine.If you have any further questions, please contact me at lbw@wch.cn.
